- מַלְגֵּזm. (transpos. of מַזְלֵג) pitch-fork; the cooks fork. Sabb.XVII, 2 (122b; Mish. a. Ms. M. מזלג); Y. ib. 16b top את המ׳ לתת עליו לקטן the kitchen fork to place food for a child upon it. Tosef. ib. X (XI), 7; Sifra Vayikra, Ḥobah, ch. IX, Par. 7, a. e., v. לָגַז.
